Raising Royal Awareness

Bella has been raising awareness about Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) all the way to Buckingham Palace by writing to His Majesty the King and sharing facts about PWS.

A devoted admirer of the Royal Family, Bella was voted by her school friends last summer as the student ‘Most Likely to Meet the King’. Though she hasn’t had the honour of meeting him… yet, Bella’s letter to King Charles and Queen Camilla has reached the royal couple, and she recently received a delightful reply from them.

The reply from Buckingham Palace extends warm wishes to Bella and her family, expressing how touched the King was to learn about the significant efforts Bella and her family undertake each year to raise funds for PWS Research.

Bella, her family, and their family business, Almond Family Pubs, organise and host the “One Small Step for PWS Research” event. Last year, they celebrated a decade of this wonderful initiative. The tenth anniversary walk saw an impressive turnout of over 400 participants—a phenomenal achievement! Over the past ten years of hosting the 10-mile walk they have raised over £160,000, and it’s truly wonderful to know that King Charles is now aware of their fantastic contributions.

Below is Bella’s remarkable letter (with some locations redacted), which we definitely agree is worthy of a Royal Reply!
