Would you like a Blue Peter Badge?

Do you know someone aged 5-15 years old that would like to earn a Blue Peter Badge? Do you know how to get one? There are currently 8 types of Blue Peter Badge but the Orange Badge is only available for winners and runners-up of their competitions. There are badges for reading, sports and music. The original and most iconic badge is the Blue Blue Peter Badge. Not only do you have the showing off rights of having a Blue Peter badge, you can also get into a number of attractions nationwide for free which can find out more about at www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc/attractions
So what do you need to do? To be awarded a Blue Badge you need to send them a creative contribution. This can be a piece of artwork, a poem, a letter, a story, a model you’ve made, a recipe, a suggestion for the show or a letter.
Here is where you could bring PWS into it- you could use your submission to raise awareness of PWS and FPWR UK. If you can, write explaining about PWS and the challenges you face. Alternatively, you could draw PeeWee and explain he is the beloved FPWR UK mascot. We also have a Colouring Page PeeWee at the bottom of the page and you’re welcome to use this – maybe colour, paint or decorate him so it’s something everyone can do. When you are done you can apply online using My Blue Peter at https://mybluepeter.bbcstudios.com/#/ or you can post your application to:
Blue Peter, MediaCityUk, Salford, M50 2BH.
Remember to include your full name, your date of birth, your home postal address and postcode. The BBC do warn that lots of children apply for badges therefore it can take up to 12 weeks to receive yours, but if you do it now that is just in time for summer adventures with all the attractions you can visit (which if you have your own PeeWee he’d love to come along and you can join in with #theadventuresofpeewee)
If you do get a badge and are happy to share a picture on our social media pages we’d love to see it. Please email your picture to info@fpwr.org.uk Good luck everyone.
