Our Goals for 2022

This month our Board held a planning meeting to work out what we wanted to achieve for the forthcoming year. The past couple of years have been difficult because of the pandemic and our charity’s income has suffered markedly. In fact, our income has more than halved. Thankfully it looks like we are on the other side of the pandemic (touch wood!) and we are already starting to see life opening back up again. This provides us with the opportunity to renew our efforts to fundraise. As the only UK charity who gives all of our proceeds to PWS research (minus modest running costs) we have a vital role to play. Research allows scientists and medical professionals to understand more about PWS which in turn paves the way for more effective treatments and drugs.

Job opportunity at FPWR UK

One of our goals for 2022 is to hire a new employee in a part time capacity. This will principally be an administrative role but will also include the opportunity to assist our charity with social media. It will be based remotely meaning the successful person will be able to work at home. We are very excited about this new opportunity and look forward to a new member of the team to assist us in our goal of driving income levels for more research and also, to increase awareness of PWS and our charity. If you would like to find out more about this job opportunity please do not hesitate to get in touch by e-mailing david@ascendhr.co.uk for more information.

You can help!

There are many ways you can help to drive our charity further along our shared goal of getting the treatments our loved ones need and deserve!

As mentioned we are keen to raise awareness of our charity and in particular to add more followers to our Facebook page. Taking time to share our posts can really help us to do this!

In terms of achieving higher levels of income, the main way we receive income is through fundraising. You can fundraise via an event big or small and all donations are welcome, whether large or small! Why not set yourself a challenge for 2022?
